A huge thank you to everyone who came to visit us this week. We were amazed at how busy we were. Cycling Groups & Walking Groups coming in for Coffee & Cake. Then the Breakfast Club, in for Brunch. Lots of Friends and Families dining in the Restaurant enjoying our new
‘Taste of the Mediterranean Dining Experience’.
Our new Limongino Liqueur (made with Gin) has been a huge hit so we need to start making another batch to cope with demand! If you haven't tried a Limongino Spritz yet... you need to!
We’ve had several Wine Tour groups here already this week and lots of fun Wine Tastings hosted by Ben, Jamie & Helga.
We’ve been inundated with bookings for our new WINE in the WILD Adventure - our Wine & Shoot Experience “Wine with a Bang!”, in partnership with Ashcombe Adventure centre. We’re absolutely loving doing these experiences which showcase wines in a new and exciting way!
We are truly bowled over by how busy it has been this week. Thank you, everyone!
Even when it’s been miserable weather, you’ve all still turned up to visit us and we’ve had the Log Fire crackling away, some great tunes playing and the Wine flowing.
We're launching another adventure Tour this week - our MUD + WINE Tour. As huge fans of Land Rovers with a few parked in the Winery Car Park waiting to escort you to your next adventure, we wanted to immerse you in Motley Cru Lifestyle - Mud, Mud & more Mud! Where there’s Mud, there’s Adventure. So we will take you on an Off-Road 4x4 Adventure with the team over at West Country Land Rover Experience, where you will get to test out the incredible capabilities of the new Land Rover Defender.
Afterwards, we’ll bring you back here to dine with The Motley Cru on a feast prepared especially for you by Head Chef Andy and his Team. Stay tuned as we'll be launching this later this week!
Head Chef Andy has been cooking up a storm in the Vineyard Kitchen this past week. There have been all sorts of delicious creations being produced. He’s had to hide the chocolate truffles from us as we couldn’t resist sneaking back up to the winery once we had closed for the day in search of just one more chocolate truffle and the new whisky bread & butter pudding is addictive.
The new “Wine Train” Service has proved very popular! We thought it would be a good idea to offer a Pick-up and Drop-Off Service for those groups booking one of our Wine Tours. We want you to enjoy your experience here without having to worry about driving back home. So we have our Land Rovers at the ready at Starcross Train Station.
A warm welcome awaits you here at Kenton Park Estate. We have hugely expanded The Motley Cru Team this Season as we were taking so many bookings before we'd even opened! So we hope you enjoy meeting all the new members of the team headed up by Jamie and the lovely Helga.
We have quite a large crew working on the grounds as well, you'll see Lynda, our new Head of Horticulture as she works her magic on all of the new Planting areas around the Estate. Do stop and chat and ask about any of our Plants as Lynda is the source of all knowledge. Lynda is creating our NEW Market Garden so that we can begin to grow some of our own produce for the Restaurant, that’s if our pesky rabbits and cheeky Cou Cou Maran Chickens don’t eat it all first!
So much is going on but we won’t bombard you with too much more. We haven’t even mentioned the latest news on our new wine to come or our new yoga studio area that will hopefully be arriving very soon! We'll have to save plenty more for our next issue of Motley Life.
Don’t forget to Book your Table online on our new Booking system: https://www.kentonparkestate.com/book-online-1
We look forward to seeing you here soon!
The Motley Cru.
