BALSAMIC Vinegar
We first tried this incredible Balsamic Vinegar on our first trip to Babylonstoren in South Africa in 2021 and it was like nothing we had ever tasted before and so we had to bring it back with us to share with you. It now sits on every table in the Restaurant here for you to enjoy and you can also buy it here on-line.
This 3-year-old Balsamic Vinegar started as must from Vines lovingly tended in Italy and bottled at Babylonstoren. Aged in oak barrels for a minimum of three years in the traditional style of Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena. Complex and nuanced, this Vinegar is rich in colour, with a delicate balance of sweet and sour.
Tip: drizzle generously as a finishing touch over sweet or savoury plates - anything from salad to cheese to ripe, plump berries.
Balsamic Vinegar is traditionally made from Lambrusco and Trebbiano grapes.
We now have our very own Oak Barrel of Balsamic Vinegar from Modena here at Kenton Park Estate and we hope to create our very own Batteria in 2024 when we will slowly start introducing the Pinotin grape juice from our own Vineyard.
