Motley Cru Classic Cuvée
English Sparkling Wine
The Motley Cru Classic Cuvée is made from a classic blend of the three traditional "Champagne" grape varieties including 48% Chardonnay, 36% Pinot Noir and 16% Pinot Meunier. The grapes are all hand picked and gently pressed. The wine is then aged for over 3 years on its lees.
The Story
Each bottle has a story.
Each of our labels has a unique story behind it. This sparkling Classic Cuvée was named in honour of the "motley crew" of rugby players, all shapes and sizes that helped us to plant the vineyard. We use a lot of pheasant characters in our labels this is to capture the humorous antics and personalities of the pheasants that roam the Estate. The idea that one would be driving a Shelby Cobra seemed only natural, it happens to be one of the Estate owner's favourite cars.

12% ABV - Lovely crisp and pale colour.
On the nose: Aromas of brioche and toast with hints of ripe stone fruits.
On the palate: Toasty notes, clean crisp citrus fruits and hints of heavier stone fruits.
